Event Summary:

The Illinois River, a tributary to the Rogue, beckons with its wild rapids and untouched beauty. But beneath the surface lurks a threat: pollution from dumping and irresponsible camping. This spring, Nature Nicole Whitewater is hosting a critical cleanup event, and you can be a part of the solution! The race is on Saturday, followed by river cleanup on Sunday.

Paddle for the Planet: Grab a kayak or raft and hit the water with the cleanup crew. As you navigate the scenic waterways, you'll be collecting garbage along the way, giving the Illinois River the TLC it deserves. It's an invigorating way to make a real impact while soaking up the fresh air and stunning scenery.

Landlubbers Welcome: Not everyone's a water warrior, and that's okay! Even dry land heroes are crucial to the mission. Help sort and dispose of the collected garbage, register participants, or answer questions – every role is vital to the success of the event.

More Than Just Cleanup: The Illinois River cleanup event is about more than just removing trash. It's about raising awareness, fostering community, and celebrating the river's natural splendor. Food, music, and activities will keep the whole family entertained throughout the day, making it a fun and rewarding experience for everyone.
